The Robots Are Taking Over

America Online slipped a couple of new buddies into its instant-message users’ address books this week, one focused on movie listings and one for shopping.

The additions, known as bots, were added automatically in the buddy lists of AOL Instant Message users under a new heading called AIM Bots.
