Roger Arrick Robotics
Ever since I was knee-high to a solenoid, taking things apart, learning how they worked, and building machines has been part of my inner being. Starting with Lincoln logs, progressing to motorized Erector sets, then graduating to computers, I could not get enough. While my friends played sports and watched TV, I salvaged speakers from old radios and built pinball machines using motors from tape players.
For some reason, machines that move under computer control have always fascinated me. So much so, I climbed out on a rickety limb early in my career to pursue robotics and attempt to make a living at it. In the process, I get to tinker with mechanics, electronics and programming to come up with products, have some fun, and hopefully put some food on the table.
Here you'll find some of my robot-related projects - vintage and new, along with photos and resource links.
